1. What is RECESS?

RECESS is a company that is dedicated to helping college students elevate their campus experience by connecting them with chance to win prizes, gain access to exclusive and unforgettable events, and professional development opportunities by working with some of the world’s biggest brands.

2. How do I become a RECESS Ambassador?

You can become a RECESS member by completing the quick and easy application process here.  This short application will help our team get a better idea of who you are and what you are interested in. Once your application is vetted, you will receive an email from one of our team members with confirmation that you are a an official RECESS member!

3. Who is eligible to join RECESS?

Any student attending a college or university in the United States is eligible, and encouraged, to join our network.

4. What will happen when I become a part of the RECESS community?

Once your membership is confirmed you will be eligible for our weekly giveaways, our contests, and our campaigns that connect you with opportunities to get paid to post on your social media platforms for some of the biggest brands in the world.

5. When it comes to working on brand campaigns, what will be expected of me?

At RECESS, every campaign is different based on the brand’s desired outcome.  As a member of our growing community you will be given the opportunity to participate in the campaigns that match your personal interests and your unique voice.  Some campaigns will require you to post just one photo in exchange for a free product while some will be a series of posts in exchange for a predetermined payment per post. As a member of RECESS, you are always in complete control.

6. How Much Do I Get Paid?

The amount Ambassadors get paid for participating in our brand sponsored campaigns differ based on campaign goals and the objectives of our brand partners. Some campaigns pay a flat fee per post while others involve the gifting of products to Ambassadors in exchange for sharing with their social followings.  All campaigns are opt-in, meaning that Ambassadors only participate in campaigns that they feel matches their personal objectives and unique voice.  

7. How do you pay for these campaigns?

RECESS uses third party payment partners Venmo or Paypal to pay our members for participation in our campaigns.

8. What brands have you worked with?

RECESS has worked with leading brands like Netflix, Chef’d, L’Oreal, Southwest Airlines, TOMS, Red Bull, Universal, USA Networks, Alienware, and Topman….just to name a few!

9. What kind of exclusive experiences?

RECESS prides itself on connecting our network of members to unforgettable experiences. We have brought The Chain Smokers to University of San Diego, sent students to Coachella and New York City Fashion Week with L’Oreal as Editors in Gloss, and brought together student entrepreneurs to Los Angeles for a week of networking and pitching to some of the country’s top investors.

10. How do I win free stuff?  

Every week, RECESS runs our #WeeklyWednesdayGiveaways where our members have the chance to win fun prizes from some today’s hottest brand. Recently we have given away designer backpacks by Herschel Supply Co., illuminated phone cases by Lumee, and the the Echo Dot by Amazon. You can also win rewards by referring your friends! Prizes range from Starbucks & Target gift cards all the way up to a brand new iPhone 7 plus!
